RATstands Opera Stand

Description
Designed with the orchestra pit in mind, the classic opera stand was first produced in 1976 and is still the only music stand to feature an integral light. Friction locks hold the light arm where it is set.
The classic wire tray is designed to have a neutral acoustic effect on acoustics in the orchestra pit. The off-centre stem and L shape base allow the musician to get closer to the stand and saves space in the pit.
The steel stem is strong and rigid and has a thumb screw for height locking. Hooks along the stem manage light cables and eliminate excess cable trailing around the floor.
The solid steel base gives added stability and rubber feet ensure 3-point contact on uneven surfaces, whilst protecting the floor and preventing clatter. The unique base shape allows stands to nest close together for compact storage.
